Caroline is a qualified yoga teacher who has practiced yoga and other forms of movement for over 20 years. She has a background in the visual, musical and physical arts and is also a vocalist and performer. She is particularly interested in the state of conscious embodiment which arises through regular yoga practice - this state also being the domain of the performer and indeed of anyone committed to living life to the full.

Training
Qualified through THE LIFE CENTRE in London (level 2 teacher training - British Wheel of Yoga accredited).
Ten years personal practice in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, including two trips to the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore.
Teacher training and intensive study with teachers including: Christopher Gladwell, John Scott, Richard Freeman, Shiva Rea, Louisa Sear, Donna Farhi, Tias Little, Nancy Gilgoff and Aadil Palkhivala.  Main teacher - the practice!
Other areas of study and influence include performance and movement research, extended vocal work, breath and pranayama, meditation. dance and chi kung.


Teaching
Caroline designs and teaches classes and courses in educational, corporate and community contexts. She teaches a hybrid style of yoga that is vinyasa-based, breath-focused and draws on a broad and eclectic knowledge-base to encourage integration and embodiment on all levels. She also teaches traditional ashtanga vinyasa yoga to small groups and individuals. Her teaching is constantly inspired by an awareness of the profound effects of yoga in her own life and in that of her students. Classes are designed to be safe, challenging, fun and inclusive to students from all backgrounds. Caroline is fully insured through the British Wheel of Yoga

Qualified in 2000 as a voice-movement therapist; Caroline also works in the field of vocal arts therapy and voice coaching - this work continually informed by the experiential mind/body practices of yoga.
